What do you think?

So the Front Page of Running in Heels has been put back until next year. Still totally chuffed they want to use my pictures but somewhat annoyed I was told 7 days AFTER my images were meant to go live, its just a case of manners really. Maybe thats how it is in the magazine world?! I don't know unfortunately...one day I tell you one day! Oh the world of fashion, full of sharpness, apples and last minute changes. I will keep you posted on when they will appear in next years issue, presumably a summer month as the images tend to lend themselves accordingly.

Still on the fashion front but in a commercial sense I am shooting a new banner ad for the trendy geek / urban brand Limited Ink. These guys do some really cool T-shirts for men and women and up and coming artists can even submit their own designs to have printed on limited edition graphics tees. Bit of customer research needed so this is where you guys come in and would love to get you involved! I have included some of the graphics below and would seriously appreciate your comments....the good the bad and the ugly. Just give me one word or image that is conjured up in your mind, something that you think of when you imagine the graphic on a tee or of course, on you looking hot in the garment!

I look forward to your feedback!

DM's, Care Bears and Hypercolour handprints....

Oh, sitting back, sipping my martini, smoking my vogue cigarettes and reminiscing, the "good ole days" I hear myself mutter.

So without getting too carried away and aging myself another 40 years I shall introduce you to exactly that, the days of old.

I grew up in the 80's and 90's and was having an excited conversation the other day with a friend about those colour changing t-shirts you used to be able to get.  I had a collection I must admit and loved my pink or purple tie dyed version.  Of course, there were many worn in school and inappropriate hand prints all over the place but they were awesome!  So awesome they seem to have made a slight come back (well OK not really cos I haven't seen any but hey give me a chance here) with American Apparel and Brooklyn Royalty introducing them to the catwalk earlier this year.  Those crazy Americans.

I also remember the mood changing rings or jewelry, the Leg warmers, the Care Bears and Pob - what happened to him!?

However after this hyperactive and animated chin wag I decided to look back at some of the other things we all knew and loved from the 80's and 90's......check it out & start boasting again about how many lace holes you had in your DM's.  Wicked.

T2T.....goldilooks.....

Today I paid a visit to Primarshay to get some bits for the shoot, one of my favorite spots to go bar charity shops.  They still remain top of the 'best find for a pound 'leader board as far as I am concerned.  Anyway, I came across what are known as Shutter shades. My brother was more than shocked when I didn't know what they were, a snigger followed by "Even I had a pair" suggest I am getting old....oh.

Moving on.....Apparently massive last year following  a good showing off by Kanye West and selling out ten fold, they are a trendy alternative to sunglasses.  I do not know what I was doing while this trend hit big but I have to say, I have not seen them before.  A quick google search identified the fact I had been living in my own world of laptops and F stops & yes they were big - REAL BIG!

So behind the times I am but I have still chosen to pick these wonderful gold specs for my Trash to trend feature.  Talk about 80's trash which has clearly got trendy - these things are awesome!  I have purchased them for the shoot alone & cannot see myself strutting down Camden high street in a pair but for the photo's - they will rock!  I love them so!

T2T....

Various comments about my new handbag (thank you Santa!) sparked this idea...some called it tacky, others tarty....myself I call it lovely!!  Anyway T2T is Trash to Trend, looking at those things your just not sure cut it as fashion items, are they just a little too trashy?!  I say stand up and be counted, get out your items of dispute & showcase them here!

Lets get the party started with this handbag I see as so golden - goes lovely with some leggings & a good bit of oversized jewellery I reckon.  I however for the blog's purpose, have teamed it with a faux fur jacket - something my sister found in Oxfam@ Reading Festival & I have to say, in my opinion ticks the box of possible (I use the word lightly) trash.  Together, well I personally couldn't pull it off but I reckon it could be done ya know......

I will be looking for more of these items in the New Year - am going to be doing some hardcore research on the net, in the magazines and on the streets.  Maybe we could start a T2T revolution?  There has to be hundreds of items out there claiming their place as a fashion item.

Anyway, before I go its Happy New Year and enjoy your evening celebrations.....myself, I am off to eat, drink and be merry.  I'm getting excited about the fireworks, oooo, arrrr, woooowwww; I will expect the same reactions to my wonderful handbag!
